Officially sanctioned and supported by PalmSource, the Palm OS User Council is composed of a diverse group of people from the User Community. Members have been invited to participate in this volunteer organization based on their involvement and leadership in the User Community, their constantly evolving technical expertise, and their proven dedication and enthusiasm in helping their fellow users.
The primary goals of the Palm OS User Council are:
1. To help PalmSource and the Licensees understand the needs and concerns of the User Community by distilling the ‘voice of the user’ in an efficient, focused manner.
2. To serve as a knowledgeable, confidential source of feedback and advice for PalmSource and the Licensees regarding areas such as product concepts, customer support needs, and early warning of potential issues.
3. To work with customer support, marketing, and product development teams from PalmSource and the Licensees in order to help identify and develop solutions to existing and potential user issues. The Palm OS User Council then disseminates the most appropriate and useful information to the User Community, helps to set user expectations, provides accurate technical advice, and generally serves the needs of the Palm Economy in a timely, effective manner.
